Teacher: Caroline Lark. I attended a twelve week creative writing course in fiction and poetry with Caroline Lark in 2008. It was a very well structured course aimed at the beginner, but conducted with imagination and flair in terms of the exercises we were given. The breadth and depth of her knowledge always informed and never intimidated which led to a very inclusive working environment which taught me so much and has kept me writing.  Her gift as a teacher of creative writing was to empower and encourage the writer’s voice which was absolutely crucial to the development of my own writing.

Editor: Caroline’s skills as an editor are also very finely honed. Her years of experience and depth of knowledge are apparent on each edited page of my writing. She brings an innate understanding to the work in front of her and offers clear and insightful suggestions if the work is wavering.  She also displays an absolute command of the English language in the corrections she makes. I have found her skills absolutely invaluable as an editor.
